An insight into O L I V…
Welcome to our first blog! Firstly, I’d like to give a big warm welcome to YOU from both Oliver & I. O L I V would just be a dream without your support so thank you for shopping small. I thought I’d use this as a chance to introduce ourselves and give you an insight into O L I V.
O L I V is a small home fragrance company, based in the heart of Wiltshire, founded by Oliver and myself, Olivia. I’ve always had a passion for design and home comforts which is what lead me to work in the Interior Design industry. To me a home is a place of comfort, a place where you feel you belong and are at a state of calm. All our products are designed with this in mind and successfully add both style and tranquillity to your space.
Oliver’s a man of many talents and one thing he specialises in is Carpentry. He hand-crafts all of our wooden Candle Holders, designing every detail to ensure our candles fit perfectly. Alongside helping me with every aspect of O L I V (mostly figures and admin that I never fully understand!)
Together, alongside our jobs, we created O L I V. The name O L I V, if not self-explanatory, is a combination of both mine and Oliver’s name. It’s a token of gratitude for everything that we do for each other and the joint effort we put in to make O L I V work. Back in November 2020 when the world was at a state of uncertainty, I found comfort in making candles. It started off as nothing more than a hobby, home-made Christmas gifts for my family and friends so, what came to be I could never have imagined.
Today O L I V is an established company made up of Candles, Wax melts, Reed diffusers and Home accessories. Stocked in a variety of shops around Wiltshire, and now available to purchase on our new online website. Every part of the process is carried out by us, from pouring to packaging and everything in between we strive towards the uniqueness of each product adding a personal touch as we go.
We are proud to do our part for the environment, starting with our candles. Each are made using a sustainably sourced and vegan Soy Wax. They give a clean burn with little to no toxins released meaning; less harm is caused on the environment. Our packaging and even our products are recyclable, our amber glasses make for the perfect storage jar once they’ve been used.
As a small company we appreciate every order, like, share, comment and review. We value all our customers and take the time to add a hand written thank you card sent within each order.
